This nut is made from unbleached bone, the slightly self-lubricating properties of unbleached bone as opposed to the very white bleached bone are a good reason to use this nut material.
This nut has a flt bottom so is not suitable for nut slots with a curved bottom.
The nut is Pre-Filed for 10-46 strings and with a 9.5"-10" radius so with care it is possible to fit by sanding the bottom to achieve the correct height. For other radii necks sone re-filing of the string slots may be required but the spacing being set is a great help as for other radii only small adjustments are needed.
