CTS potentiometers are used by just about all of the major guitar manufacturers from Gibson to Fender and just about everyone else. Please Note: If your guitar has metric pots (6mm) then the holes in the guitar, plates and/or pickguards will need to be enlarged to 3/8" (9.525mm) to fit properly as all pots sold by Charles Guitars are USA spec and fit hole diameters 3/8" (9.525mm). Also, metric knobs will not fit the pot shafts; most popular knobs are available on the store in new and aged versions.
Made especially for Charles Guitars these 450 “CG” series CTS pots have a low tolerance that means our 250K and 500K pots are very close to their nominal value or higher and a taper that closely matches that from back in the day so they are ideal for both Volume and Tone. They feature a solid brass thread and shaft on a Bakelite base plate with a lower turning torque for the right balance between a smoother response and some resistance.
These Volume pots are manufactured by CTS specifically for RS Guitarworks; they function as Volume controls only - SuperPots will not function as Tone controls! Made with brass shaft, thread and old-school heavy carbon resistance path with a taper specifically for the volume position of electric guitar. The custom taper gives smooth even response throughout the range of motion without any steep drop-offs or uneven taper. They also feature a low turning torque and retianer clip construction.
